I love this explanation — it really is two equal forces pushing at each other. For me personally a lot of the internal resistance comes when I’m doing something artistic that I genuinely enjoy(like a huge painting or writing) — perhaps the resistance is the fear of wasting time and energy on something that isn’t deemed valuable by society (at least not enough to have us be consistently financially supported in doing so).
I like that you left the reasons for internal resistance open ended; so that we all consider what exactly are the deeply rooted fears and limiting beliefs that are of equal force to our creative expression.
